Wake up, losers

Ok, are Baggs and I the only ones that use this thing? Because I will turn this car around right now...

Maybe he and I are the only ones talking because we're the only ones in any kind of position TO talk. Hard for the bottom feeders to keep up the chatter. That's the part I kind of understand but it's way too early to throw in the towell or to curl up in a corner with your blanky...

Yeah, I know, Ben sent out his email survey. Wouldn't that have been better here? All the comments collected in one place for all to read. Yeah, that would have been easier...

There is a ton of stuff to talk about baseball-wise, let's hear some of it!

Bonds 714? Anyone care? Anyone boo quietly at home?

Are the Reds and Tigers for real?

What's up with the closers this year? Do they all suck? I can't count the number of wins I've lost because some damn "closer" got smacked around. And it's not just the closers, seems like most bullpens are just chock full of garbage. Get the starter out and yippie, it's BP time.

So, let's hear some noise out there!

Comments:
Only in Wisconsin does the newspaper carry articles about 350 lb offensive linemen getting hurt in May...

LOL... hey, we only have room for one of those.
How'd this get onto football talk?
Back to baseball!

Just a quick bit of bragging...

I have a 17 point lead at the end of June. Not bad, considering I was picked no higher than second by Grizz and Todd's prognostications.

Do I expect to end the year in a runaway victory? Hell no. In fact, I can't seem to get wins from any of my starters even though I like 5 of them a lot. (Mussina, Webb, Vazquez, Penny, Pettitte) I have had a few injuries to Kent, Berkman, Jeter and a few others, but none have been major yet. I've been pretty lucky so far.
My starting catcher is the last guy I drafted that I was saying I needed to get. McCann's playing pretty darn good, and I still feel okay about Johjima as a backup.

I lead a lot of categories by just a few points, so it won't take long for other teams to start reeling me in, but for now, it sure feels nice leading the pack.

Yeah, I was so close in so many categories that a slightly good or bad week can be an 8 point swing as evidenced by my slip down to 72. Pujols comes back soon so I should move back up. I just can't get any wins from my starters, the bullpen blows everything.
Of course, no one picked me to do anything so I'm happy staying near the front.
